By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must stop using the Platform immediately.


1. Definitions

  • “Tutor” – any individual who registers to provide tuition services through the Platform.

  • “Student” – the individual receiving tuition (can be a child, teenager, or adult learner).

  • “Parent/Client” – the person responsible for engaging a tutor on behalf of a student (if the student is under 18).

  • “User(s)” – collectively refers to Tutors, Students, Parents, and Visitors to the website.


2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as a Tutor, Student, or Parent, or by otherwise using this Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and acknowledge that you are at least 18 years of age (or have obtained parental/guardian consent if under 18).


3. Scope of Services

We:

  • Provides an online platform that matches students/parents with suitable tutors based on subject, level, and preferences.

  • Does not directly employ tutors; tutors act as independent contractors.

  • Does not supervise or monitor lessons and cannot guarantee academic results.

  • Offers free matching services as part of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative.


4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Tutors

  • Must provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding qualifications, experience, and availability.

  • Are solely responsible for the content they provide (e.g., resumes, teaching details).

  • Must ensure they are legally able to provide tuition in their respective country and comply with all relevant regulations.

  • Agree not to share Students’ personal data beyond what is necessary for the lesson.

  • Must maintain professional behavior and refrain from any misconduct, harassment, or discrimination.

4.2 Students/Parents

  • Must provide accurate personal details (name, contact information, location, and subject requirements).

  • Must ensure a safe and conducive environment for learning (for home tuition).

  • For online tuition, must ensure a stable internet connection and access to required devices/software.

  • Are responsible for paying tutors directly for services provided.


5. Matching Process

  • We will suggest a Tutor based on your stated preferences and requirements.

  • While we aim to provide the best match, we do not guarantee availability, compatibility, or suitability.

  • The final decision to engage a tutor rests entirely with the Student/Parent.


6. Fees and Payments

  • The Platform does not charge Students/Parents for matching services.

  • Tutors and Students/Parents are free to agree on tuition rates and payment methods directly.

  • All payments for tuition are made directly between Student/Parent and Tutor. The Platform does not act as a payment intermediary.

  • We are not responsible for payment disputes; these must be resolved directly between Tutor and Client.


7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance unless otherwise agreed with the Tutor.

  • Tutors may charge a cancellation fee for late cancellations or no-shows.

  • Any rescheduling must be agreed directly between Tutor and Student/Parent.

  • The Platform is not liable for missed lessons, cancellations, or disputes arising therefrom.


8. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We collect and store personal data (such as contact details and tutoring preferences) solely for the purpose of facilitating matches between Tutors and Students.

  • Personal information is not sold or shared with third parties, except as required by law.

  • By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.


9. Code of Conduct

All Users agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes.

  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other Users.

  • Share or post false, misleading, or defamatory information.

  • Copy, distribute, or exploit content from the Platform without prior permission.


10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • We do not guarantee the quality, outcomes, or academic success of tuition arranged via the Platform.

  • Tutors are independent providers, and we are not responsible for their actions, conduct, or performance.

  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from use of the Platform.

  • Users engage in lessons at their own risk. Parents are strongly encouraged to supervise children during lessons.


11. Intellectual Property

  • All text, graphics, logos, and content on the Platform are the property of Edulearning Limited and protected under copyright laws.

  • Users may not reproduce, copy, or distribute content from the Platform without written consent.


12. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate a User’s account if they breach these Terms.

  • Refuse service to anyone at our discretion.

  • Remove any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or misleading.


13. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, its owners, and administrators against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Misuse of the Platform

  • Disputes between Tutors and Students/Parents

  • Breach of these Terms


14. Amendments to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice. The updated Terms will take effect immediately upon posting on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
